New house!!!

After about 4 months on the market, we finally got an offer last Friday. We countered and they accepted our counter.
On Saturday, we turned around and made an offer on a new house! Again, they countered and we accepted. Today was our home inspection for both houses. Hopefully, not much was found on our current home.

The new house is empty and so the current owners are allowing us to rent from them for a few days so that we can move in over a weekend instead of during the week when we close.

During the 2 hour inspection today, I walked around & took a lot of photos of the new house. It is ~2200 square feet with a 2 car garage, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, family room, 4 pantry off the kitchen, living room, and dining room! The house is on 0.25 acre lot, which we are super excited about and is in a GREAT neighborhood! We are ready to get moved & start getting settled into our new house!

Day at the park

Last weekend we went to the park on Saturday afternoon. Matt found a great little park that isn't too far from our house that had several play areas for different ages. It also had a big sand play area. Since it was about 95ยบ and 100% humidity, we didn't stay but for about 30 minutes, but Brayden had a great time sliding, swinging, and playing in the sand!
This past Friday night we had a showing for our house so we went to dinner & then to waste some more time took Brayden to another playground to run off some energy. He had a great time running around & following these twin girls who were about 8 or 10 months older than him. He kept trying to do everything that they did -- it was so cute!

July 4th at the Beach

Like always, we headed off to Sunset Beach for our annual 4th of July family gathering. Matt's entire family was there & we always have lots of fun with them. Uncle Sandy's birthday was Friday and Oma & Opa's Anniverary was on Sunday so we also had lots of celebrating to do!

We went to the beach for 2 days and to the pool one day. It took a little while for Brayden to warm up to the sand & water, but he eventually (with the help of cousin Sid, Aunt Lynn & Aunt Dana) decided that the water & sand were pretty fun!

Playing with his dump truck which was a HUGE hit!

Uncle Sandy's birthday present from Opa & Oma was fresh salmon for dinner.
They had it shipped from Pike Place Market in Seattle!!
Before dinner, they gave him the empty box & said that was his gift :)

We also went to a Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball game as a group of 16! Brayden LOVED watching the baseball game & kept showing us how they pitch the ball! Sadly, the Pelican's team was not very good. I think the family could have done about as good a job playing as the team did. We all still had a great time together at the game!

Aunt Lynn had Opa & Oma's anniversary printed on the tickets!
How cool is that!?!?!

On Sunday night, July 4th, we went to the Calabash 2nd Annual 4th of July Festival! The Embers played for almost 3 hours and we had hotdogs, pizza, and BBQ sandwiches for dinner!

The town of Calabash went all out & had a great fireworks show! Brayden seemed to enjoy the fireworks after get got into Daddy's lap and kept clapping & saying "Yea!!" each time they stopped for a second.

I am so glad that Brayden is getting to know his extended family. I never really got to spend much time with my dad's family growing up because they all lived so far away so I love the tight-knit family feel. It is always just one big party when these folks get together! We are so blessed that we get to see Matt's family as much as we do. They are all amazing people and we love spending time with them!
