Glucose test

28 Weeks

For everyone that told me the Glucose test wasn't so bad, you are wrong!!!  It sucked!  Maybe I had worked myself into a tizzy about it for nothing.  Maybe it was just that I really don't like orange flavored stuff & that's what I had to drink.  I don't know but at least it is over!!

I got home yesterday from work & had the wonderful voice mail from the Dr's office stating that my Glucose test was perfect!  You don't know how happy that made me.

I am celebrating today by having a Baskin Robbins milkshake after lunch!

26 Week Dr appt

We went back to the Dr today. Everything checked out good. Bradyen actually measured 26 weeks 4 days (a few days larger than he actually is). They also estimated him to weigh about 2lbs 3oz right now (+/- 4 oz). The nurse practitioner that we saw said this was a little big, but perfectly OK. Better to be a little big than too small. Bradyen's heartbeat was also good & strong again today. Yeah!!

Here are a few photos from today's ultrasound. Once again, Brayden was not too cooperative with getting good photos. At least the technician was able to see & measure everything that she needed to today.

Stop Looking at Me!!

I go back next Tuesday for the glucose test. Yuck! I dread having to drink that stuff, but have no option.

On another note, we have started the search for a pediatrician. First is was daycare now it is a Dr. I have 2 tours scheduled in the next few weeks. If anyone in the Raleigh area has any suggestions for/not for a pediatrician in the Rex Hospital area, please let me know.

We finally got all of the pieces to the dresser for the nursery. It has been a fiasco trying to get all of the parts here. This dresser itself arrived on Friday before Father's Day, but 2 parts were damaged. Finally, today the last of the replacement parts arrived! Now we get to put it all together. I am ready to have this project done so I can start actually putting clothes away & getting everything else ready in the nursery! We only have 13 weeks to go & I know this will go by really fast.

25.5 Weeks

25 Weeks 2 days

Brayden, Matt, & I are all doing well these days. As you can see from the photo, I have gotten quite a bit bigger in the past month since my last photo was posted. I am still feeling good most of the time, but get tired at night much easier now. I am also finding that it is harder to do some simple things like washing the dishes (my stomach/bruises hit the cabinet which hurts & then I strain to keep off the cabinet which puts pressure on my back) & getting the clothes out of the washer/dryer. Luckily, I have a hubby who doesn't mind helping with these tasks.

We were at the beach for about 11 days & Brayden seemed to really enjoy it when I got in the water, whether it be the ocean or pool. It was great to spend so much time with the family. We really enjoyed hanging out with everyone & spending time with Sid (Brayden's cousin who will be 1 a few weeks after he Bradyen is born).

Also while we were on the vacation I started actually seeing my stomach move! This was amazing to me & still is. I can sit & watch my stomach for hours as Brayden kicks & moves in there. Of course, the first time I rushed over to get Matt so he could see this amazing act & Brayden decided that he was done moving for a while. I think Matt finally saw the movement & felt a really big kick on Sunday night, 2 weeks after it started!

We went to the Allison Krauss/Robert Plant concert on Friday night. I am not much of a concert goer, but I really enjoyed the show. Brayden seemed to enjoy Allison Krauss (he moved around a LOT when she was singing), but was not a big fan of Robert Plant. We will have to see if that is really true once he is born.

We go back to the Dr on Monday, so hopefully we will get some good photos during the U/S. I am excited to see how much he has changed in the past 4 weeks. We only have 13.5 weeks to go until we can all meet Brayden for real!!! I can't believe how fast the time is going by!

Take care
Jennifer, Matt, & Brayden
