It just amazes me to think that Brayden will be 14 months old next week! Time really has flown by!!
Brayden moved from the Infant Room to the Toddler Room at daycare a little over a month ago. This means only 1 nap a day, sitting at a table to eat his snacks and meal, doing arts and crafts every day, sleeping on a cot, and getting to play outside on the toddler playground (there is a separate play area for each age group). He made this transition without any problems at all and doesn't even cry when Matt drops him off in the morning either! He seems to really enjoy being in a "big boy" room now and certainly LOVES to eat!
Today, his 'score card" said that he had 3, yes three, servings of his meat, vegetable, and fruit at lunch!!! Somehow, he still remains on the small side though so I am not complaining.
Brayden has also started to run a little. He is still not great at the running thing, but he has great balance when he is just walking. I am amazed every day at the things he can do! He can climb the stairs, although he hasn't quite figured out the coming down the stairs part. If you ask Brayden to pick up a toy, he can and usually will bring it to you. Also, at the end of his bath, he enjoys putting all of the toys back in the toy basket. It is so cute to watch as he carefully maneuvers his way around the tub to collect each toy, one at a time, to put it in the basket.
My favorite new thing is that not only will Brayden blow kisses to just about any one, but he will also give a kiss to very special people (i.e. Matt, myself, the grandparents, and a few very close friends). I LOVE getting Brayden kisses before leaving for work and at bedtime each night! He is also really into hugging, which is great as well!
